"Hear what
the Lord says to you, O house of Israel. This is what the Lord says: "Do not
learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though
the nations are terrified by them. For the customs of the peoples are
worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with
his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer
and nails so it will not totter.” The
world accepts Christmas as a Christian holiday which is held on December 25th
to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It's a time when gifts are exchanged,
evergreen trees are cut and decorated with gold and silver, homes and other
places are decorated with candles, wreaths, holly and ivy; parties are held.
It's a time during the winter solstice when celebration occurs - images of the
baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, three wise men, shepherds as carolers sing happy songs
- it's Christmas, the Yuletide season! Most Christians love and enjoy the
Christmas season but: Is it really biblical? Is it truly Christian?
Please remember that Our
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is returning for His bride which is His Church -
a bride without spot or wrinkle
Given Jesus Christ's
warnings to His Church documented in the biblical book of The Revelation
and summarized in the
State of Church webpage of this website, what would Our Lord
and Savior say about the celebration of Christmas? What would He say knowing of
its pagan origins? Would He smile and say, "That's OK?"
Please note that our
intention is not to manipulate anyone - Jesus Christ is true. The Almighty God,
Our Creator, says that we must not lie. He further says that no liars
would enter into His Kingdom. Following in our Lord's footsteps, our sole
objective is to present the truth to you. You have to make up your own mind as to
whether you would serve God His way or your own way. The choice is up to you.
